ZTE Velocity 2 is a 4G LTE mobile hotspot from ZTE-MF985/MF985U. With the Qualcomm MDM9240 chipset, the ZTE MF985/MF985U mobile hotspot could achieve download speed up to 600mbps and upload speed to 150Mbps. It supports up to 10 WiFi-enabled devices. The removable battery capacity is 3000mAh, which can support up to 12 hours of working time.

Speed and reliability are always going to be the core of any data link. Fortunately, the ZTE Velocity 2 provides both. The maximum theoretical speed is 600 Mbps download and 150 Mbps upload. Why “theoretical”? Well, it depends on the network you are connected to. Some networks support higher speeds, and some just perform better than others. In short, the Velocity 2 will be able to keep up with your chosen network, wherever you are. The Wi-Fi network created by the Velocity 2 is a dual-band. This means all Wi-Fi-enabled devices can connect easily.

Those supporting the 5GHz band will get a less cluttered connection and potentially faster speeds. Those connecting over 2.4 GHz may have slightly slower speeds due to interference from other electronic devices, but the band has a slightly bigger range and can be more stable in certain conditions. Dual antennae also mean a better signal quality and strength. Despite the compact size of the ZTE Velocity 2 at just 4.54 x 2.61 x 0.61 inches, and weighing just 4.55 oz, a lot is packed into the hotspot. The 2.4″ color touchscreen makes setup and changing passwords etc. really simple. From unboxing to connecting the first device, it takes just 3 or 4 minutes. The screen is bright and clear, and the layout of the settings is easy and intuitive.
