Alcatel Onetouch W800Z is a device that combines two functions. It is both an LTE modem and a wireless router, with which you can easily and quickly create a WLAN.
Alcatel's packaging contains a device whose aesthetics differ significantly from what most modem manufacturers have got used to. The W800, although not the smallest, is impressive - white and shiny with an additional silver element in the center. Its plastic housing is made very well. All components are precisely matched. The whole thing is also not too heavy - it weighs only 35 g. The set includes two more adapters - mains and car. They significantly increase not only the practical values ​​but also the mobility of the W800Z, but more on that in a moment.
Alcatel is equipped with only one connector that can be seen from the outside - universal USB, which when connected to a computer is used for data transmission and powering the modem, and when plugged into a charger, it powers the device. To increase the practical values ​​of the W800, this connector is rotatable - the modem can always be mounted so that it is not exposed to accidental damage or breaking the plug. A connection indicator is mounted on the front of the housing - the left LED shows Wi-Fi activity, the right one Internet connection. The rest of the connectors are located under the cover in the housing, i.e. the slot for the SIM card and the microSD memory card with a maximum capacity of 32 GB.

Alcatel W800Z provides Internet access in LTE, DC-HSPA +, HSPA +, and UMTS technologies. The maximum transmission speed is 100 Mbps for data download and 50 Mbps for data sending via LTE standard. During the test, Alcatel Onetouch W800Z worked stably in every possible configuration and did not lose range in several test locations.
Getting Alcatel to work is hassle-free. All you need to do is mount the SIM card and optional memory card and plug the device into either a computer USB port or one of the power supplies. After a while, we have access to wireless internet. Of course, the first installation should be done using a computer, especially if you want to create a holiday Wi-Fi network.
