Huawei's promotional event today in Jan 2019 has ended. Mobile World Congress provides information on products before 2019.
At this event, Huawei introduced the multi-mode 5G chip Balong 5000 and the Huawei 5G CPE Pro. The Balong 5000 can be used in smartphones, broadband home devices, devices installed in vehicles and 5G modules. Huawei says this chip is the first one-piece chip that supports 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G.
The standard low bandwidth of 5G is 6 GHz and 4.6 Gbps download speed is reached in the modem, high-bandwidth mmWave connection, the 6.5 Gbps rate of reduction is seen.
Huawei announced that this chip is the first chip to be compatible with both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G infrastructures. NSA infrastructures operate over 4G LTE connection networks, while SA infrastructures use their own infrastructure architecture.
The chip is also the world's first multi-mode Vehicle to Everything (V2X) chip. In this way, the connected vehicles have a reliable connection infrastructure with very little delay.
You should also know HUAWEI 5G CPE Pro supports the new Wi-Fi 6 technology too. So this way the wireless speed goes up to 4.8 Gbps – 15X faster than WiFi 4 (802.11n).
And you don't have to buy a signal booster because of 5G CPE Pro has the world’s first “small, cross-polarized” antenna that has a unique two antenna crossing layout. This eliminates the standard 10 mm anti-interference distance between the antennas, reducing its overall size by 20 percent while boosting WiFi coverage by 30% in both vertical and horizontal directions.
Huawei announced that it will introduce 5G phones with Balong 5000 modems at MWC next month in Barcelona.
Huawei also introduced the 5G CPE Pro, which uses a Balong 5000 modem. It can reach 3.2 Gbps download speed in live tests and supports both 4G and 5G connections. According to the company, a 5G link will take only 3 seconds to download a 1GB file and it will be possible to stream 8K video without delay.
The 5G CPE Pro supports the new Wi-Fi 6 technology. The device is the first 5G device that complies with the HUAWEI HiLink protocol.
